In April, the Workshop on Large-Scale Exploits and Emergent Threats (LEET) was held in San Jose, California. This is a small safety seminar organized by USENIX, held annually since 2008. Although small in size, participants are senior security officers from research and manufacturing senior staff in research institutions. LEET focuses on large-scale and emerging threats, attacks on network events, and corresponding solutions. This year’s LEET includes a total of four sessions, namely: Botnet, Threat Measurement and Characterization, Threat Detection and Mitigation, New Threats and Challenges.
