写作是一项带有文化特征的活动,作为一种文化现象,每一种语言都有其独一无二的写作惯例。因为以英语为母语的本族语者和中国英语学习者的思维模式不同,英汉议论文在语篇层面呈现出不同的表现方式。如果中国英语学习者不能意识到中文和英文议论文在语篇方面的差别的话,其英语写作能力的提高就会很难。因此,本文将着重从主题发展模式、段落划分模式和主题句等方面来比较中英文议论文的不同语篇特点,以期使学生对于汉英各自语篇特征及两者的差异有一定的意识,帮助学生克服来自汉语语篇的负面影响,同时也为大学英语写作提供教学法方面的启示。
Writing is an activity with cultural characteristics. As a cultural phenomenon, each language has its own unique writing convention. Because English-Chinese native speakers and Chinese English learners have different modes of thinking, the English-Chinese argumentative essays show different ways of expression at the discourse level. If Chinese EFL learners fail to recognize the differences in discourse between Chinese and English essays, it will be very difficult to improve their English writing ability. Therefore, this article will focus on comparing the different discourse features of the essay in English and Chinese from thematic development mode, paragraph division mode and thematic sentences, with a view to making students have a certain sense of their respective discourse features and the differences between the two, Help students to overcome the negative impact from Chinese discourse, and also provide pedagogical inspiration for college English writing.
