芦草沟组油页岩在准噶尔盆地南缘地表广泛出露.对该油页岩进行了取样并对其进行了显微结构、矿物学及地球化学的详细研究,主要包括薄片岩石学、U-V荧光岩石学、X射线衍射、镜质体反射率、沥青反射率、流体包裹体和激光拉曼光谱分析.研究认为岩石基质中的有机质呈分散状态,而岩石纹层界面(后来演化为缝合线)和微裂隙中的有机质呈现定向性的流动状态.结合对有机质成熟度的追踪研究发现,测得的镜质体反射率(Ro)在分散的干酪根中最低(0.64%),而在缝合线中较高,其中定向排列的镜质体为0.72%,运移沥青为2.38%;拉曼光谱分析证实,含烃流体包裹体的均一温度也有明显的阶段性,由岩石纹层界面的178.5℃增长到垂直微裂隙中的222℃.这些现象综合反映了从源岩热成熟的晚期到初次运移早期伴随着流体散失的热演化过程.显然,烃源岩中有机质产状是烃类初次运移的痕迹,岩石纹层界面和微裂隙是含烃流体运移的主要输导通道.从早期的烃汇聚到缝合线的阶段,到沿纹层界面水平运移阶段,再到后期的沿微裂隙垂向运移阶段,有机质的成熟度逐渐提高.
