The InCl3 / BPC binary system phase diagram was constructed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) method. It was found that this system can form a room temperature ionic liquid containing a dilute metal. Abscissa and Raman spectra indicate that InCl3 / BPC system room temperature ionic liquid InCl-4 is the main anion
