Objective: To explore the significance of hearing screening and tracking of neonates without hearing screening in primary hospitals. Methods: 76 cases of newborns who did not pass hearing screening were subjected to objective hearing tests at 3 months of age and 6 months of age using distorted product otoacoustic emissions, brainstem response potential and acoustic impedance. The two results were analyzed . Results: Of the 76 newborns, 41 were diagnosed with hearing loss, accounting for 53.95%, of which 14 were mild (18.42%), 15 (19.74%) moderate, 7 (9.21%) severe and 5 6.58%). Two times the results of the comparison, severe or very severe hearing loss hearing almost no change, while those with mild to moderate hearing loss into a higher proportion of normal. CONCLUSIONS: Correct hearing assessment should be made for validated hearing confirmations and adherence to at least one year of follow-up of newborns who do not pass hearing screening.
