There are many kinds of semantic relations between famous adjectives and their rhetoric nouns. Some relations can be analyzed by conjunction, and some can not. Based on the previous studies, this paper explores the relationship between the two under the theory of set-ups and attempts to explain why most of the adjectives can be attributives both before the noun and under the condition that the noun is put on the preposition as the subject At the end of the sentence acts as a predicate, but some nouns or nouns can only play the predicate, or that when acting as a predicate, semantics have changed. This article will also attempt to re-divide the pre-existential modifiers in Chinese so as to construct a semantic system that conforms to the actual Chinese pre-existential modifiers.
