最近的研究证明,Y染色体长臂的5,6区带含有与生成精子有关的基因AZF(azoospermia factor,AZF)。DAZ(deleted in azoospermia,DAZ)基因是AZF的候选成分,在精子产生过程中起重要作用。
Recent studies have shown that the 5th and 6th bands of the Y chromosome contain azoospermia factor (AZF), a spermatozoa-associated gene. DAZ (deleted in azoospermia, DAZ) gene is a candidate component of AZF and plays an important role in spermatogenesis. AZF and DAZ gene deletion can cause no sperm or severe oligospermia. Although intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) technology addresses some of the male-induced infertility, there is concern that this genetic defect will be passed on to the next generation. Studies have shown that the chromosome loss rate passed to the next generation after ICSI is 9.4% ~ 33%.
