本文以前人对动机的研究理论为根据,对180名英语专业本科生提高听力的动机做了调查,并就男女生在动机方面的异同及其对听力的作用做了比较和分析。结果表明,过半的学生提高听力的动机是为了考试,三分之一的学生是为了交流,部分学生是为了提高自己的英语水平。在动机是为了提高英语水平这一点上,女生的百分比超过了男生。这样的动机情况对学生的听力主要起积极作用。研究结果对英语教学有一定的启示。
Based on the former research theory of motivation, this paper investigated the motivation of 180 English major undergraduates to improve their listening comprehension and compared their motivation and their effects on their listening comprehension. The results show that more than half of students motivated to improve their listening test for the examination, one-third of the students to exchange, some students are to improve their English level. At the point where motivation is to improve English, the percentage of girls is higher than that of boys. Such motivation plays a major role in the student’s listening comprehension. The results of the study have some enlightenment on English teaching.
