This article argues that in the novel “The Son of God”, a contemporary American writer McCarthy, the violent behavior of the sick murderer Baidole stems from its innate physiological and psychological defects on the one hand and is also the result of various chronic diseases in modern society on the other hand. Fictions face the violence, revealing the essence of man. White Lede from civilization to the wilderness evolution, degradation and even “return ancestral ” pathological phenomenon, reflects the modern predicament. The animal metaphors of the spatial and identity changes of the Whitehead residence and the narrative strategy of constantly changing perspectives vividly reproduce the fate of the protagonists being marginalized and eventually abandoned by society.
