In order to reduce the vibration of parts and mechanisms and protect the instrument from the external power, different types of shock absorbers are commonly used in the structure of the instrument: electric shock absorbers, high-resistance shock absorbers and vibration limiters. In this paper, some structural characteristics and calculation methods of elastic-plastic shock absorbers made by the principle of irreversible absorption of elastic energy caused by plastic deformation of materials are studied.
