1997年6月9～12日在山东威海市召开了第五届冶金环保专业委员会成立大会暨废水处理学术研讨会,到会代表共65人,评出优秀论文15篇。名誉理事长李家瑞作了题为“提高冶金环保科技水平为生产服务”的报告。刘军主任委员传达了中国金属学会第六次代表大会和全国冶金环保第八次大会的精神。王绍文副主任委员兼秘书长作了1996年学会工作总结和1997年的工作汁划接排:1997年除召开本次会议外,已为中国金属学会1997年首届钢铁年会提供环保论文4篇;为1998年中国金属学会将召开的“地球环境和钢铁工业研讨会”国际会议进行征文及审查论文工作;并为我会1998年将召开的“冶金企业二次烟尘污染控制”和“含铁尘泥处理和利用”技术交流会作会前的各项准备工作等。会议就我会自身组织建设问题进行了认真讨论:①研究了我会收取成员单位会费的问题;②研究了我会下设的7个学术委员会的换届改选工作,确定1997年底完成换届改选工作。
