1 Introduction Commonly used pretreatment methods for marine and river sediment samples are heating and digestion with acid, which is not only time-consuming but also liable to cause contamination and loss of the measured components. Suspension sampling can overcome the above shortcomings. However, the general existence of electromagnetic stirring uniform mixing, especially for a sample of sediment, mixing stopped after the larger solid particles sink phenomenon. This article uses a conventional ultrasonic cleaner as a stirrer
