翡翠吉丁虫又名红缘绿吉丁,属鞘翅目、吉丁虫科。是乌盟后山地区为害榆树的主要蛀干害虫之一。特别是15年生以上的人工林,被害尤为严重。该虫主要危害树木韧皮部、木质部及髓心。轻微时树木生长、发育受到影响并逐渐衰退、死亡。严重时植株全部干枯,形成枯立木,易风折。一、形态特征成虫:雌成虫长18～20毫米,宽7毫米;雄成虫长14～17毫米,宽5—6毫米。触角六节锯齿状,有一对突起的复眼,鞘翅坚硬,有金属光泽。两片鞘翅上有由紫色大小等宽点组成的12条纵线(每片6条),
