“Before Taoli was later than Mei, the skin of ice and snow was shot. The moon was frosted in the night, and the females were stunned.” This is a perfect sentence for the daffodils of Song Yi Liu Yi. Narcissus has a long history. The Homeric Epoch written as early as the 9th to 8th century BC has been recorded. The sculptures of narcissus patterns have also been found in Egyptian tombs. According to the “History of Flowers” record: “Tang Xuanzong’s Lady of Treasure, the twelve basins of red narcissus, basins are made of gold and jade Qibao.” This shows that at least a thousand years ago, the narcissus has been used as a valuable ornamental flower.
