Serum immunoglobulin (Ig) levels, the incidence of concurrent infection and response to hormone therapy in 102 children with nephrotic syndrome were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 56 patients had low level of Ig, and repeated infection with Ig level was higher than that of Ig normal group (P < (P <0.01). However, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the total infection rate (P> 0.05). Hormone therapy for 2 weeks and 4 weeks There was no significant difference in remission rate and Ig level between the two groups (P> 0.05) and normal Ig group (P> 0.05). The results suggest that the reduced level of Ig in children with nephrotic syndrome increases the chances of repeated infections but has no significant effect on hormone response.
