口语停顿是说话时在心理和语感上当作没有声音的一种间歇,表现在口语表达中词语与词语之间,句子与句子之间,段落与段落之间的停歇与断顿,是构成语调的语音成素之一。口语停顿在口语交际中发挥着重要的作用,正如史坦尼斯拉夫斯基所说:“离开话语,语调和停顿本身仍然具有影响听众情绪的力量。”(《朗诵的艺术》93页,苏联 符·阿克肖诺夫著,广播出版社1984年2月第一版)本文拟就口语交际中的实例对口语停顿的几种重要的修辞功能做一点浅显的分析。
