“引吭高歌如大鼓,抑扬婉转似弹词,拖腔又类昆曲”~①,这便是杭州摊簧。溯其根源,“清乾隆六十年(1795年)刊出的俗曲总集《霓裳续谱》收有‘南词弹簧调’,是文南词的主要声腔之一”~②。嘉庆九年(1804年)编订的《白雪遗音》中亦收有《占花魁》中的《醉归》《独占》两回摊簧曲目。杭州摊簧即由南词摊簧衍生而成,在风行南北的说唱曲艺影响下,形成的一种代言体的坐唱表演形式,简称“杭摊”。
