将川芎、细辛、乳香、没药、冰片等中药制成鼻腔吸入剂——息痛宁。以鼻吸入法治疗头颈部术后疼痛和术后换药疼痛等３４０例，结果表明：用药后５～１０分钟起到止痛效应，持续５～６小时，总有效率为９１．５％。经动物毒性和刺激性试验表明：给豚鼠滴鼻剂量相当于人临床用药量的２９９．４倍（５００ｍｇ·ｋｇ－１／１．６７ｍｇ·ｋｇ－１）未见毒性和刺激性反应，给小鼠灌胃剂量相当人临床用药量的１４９７．０倍（２５００ｍｇ·ｋｇ－１／１．６７ｍｇ·ｋｇ－１）未见中枢神经等各系统不良反应。说明该药用于临床是安全可靠的
Will Chuanxiong, Asarum, frankincense, myrrh, borneol and other Chinese medicine into nasal inhalation agent - pitoxin. Nasal inhalation was used to treat 340 cases of pain after head and neck surgery and postoperative dressing pain. The results showed that the pain relief effect was achieved within 5 to 10 minutes after treatment and lasted for 5 to 6 hours. The total effective rate was 91.5%. The animal toxicity and irritation test showed that the dose of nasal drops to guinea pigs was equivalent to 299.4 times (500 mg·kg-1/1.67 mg·kg-1) of the human clinical dosage. No toxicity and irritant reactions were observed. No adverse effects of central nervous system and other systemic adverse reactions were observed in rat 1497.0 times (2500 mg·kg-1/1.67 mg·kg-1) gavage dose. It shows that the drug is safe and reliable for clinical use
