牵引驱动装置分为单独驱动和成组驱动两种。成组驱动时,一台电动机同时向两个或三个轮对传递转矩。在此情况下,电动机和牵引齿轮箱安装在转向架构架上,而电动机转矩通过牵引齿轮箱、弹性联轴节及空心轴传到轮对。成组驱动装置具有减轻牵引电动机总重和改善内燃机车粘着重量利用的优点。成组驱动装置,由于其结构复杂,而在苏联机车制造中,没有得到广泛的采用。
Traction drive is divided into separate drive and group drive two. When driving in groups, one motor transmits torque to two or three wheels simultaneously. In this case, the motor and traction gearbox are mounted on the bogie frame and the motor torque is transmitted to the wheelsets via the traction gearbox, the flexible coupling and the hollow shaft. The group drive has the advantage of reducing the total weight of the traction motor and improving the adhesion weight of the diesel locomotive. Group drives, due to their complex structure, are not widely used in Soviet locomotive manufacturing.
