我于1958年开始从事加速器的研究及教学工作,30多年来和同事们一起研究过多种类型的低能加速器,包括:一、等时性回旋加速器中央区的物理研究.1964年在英国访问期间,针对回旋加速器中束流在中央区大幅度衰减的现象进行了深入研究.我利用微分探针逐一确定各种离子成分的轨道并将实验诊断与理论分析及计算机模拟相结合,逐圈分析各轨道的动力学特性,终于弄清了头几圈中束流衰减的机制,并通过逐圈控制离子的高频相位与轨道中心,将束流的传输效率提高了三倍以上.在实验中我还证实了在具有三个扇形磁极的回旋加速器中存在着越隙共振.
