墨西哥铁路从1997年起实行私有化,至1998年底,全国三大干线和3条短线已相继完成私有化进程,私有化铁路总里程已达14500km,其余7条短线也将于1999年9月实行特许经营招标,如一切顺利,墨西哥国有铁路的运营功能将于1999年年底全部消失。三大干线特许经营归纳如下。 东北铁路:1997年6月实行特许经营,为期50年,1998年运营里程为4282.7km,完成运量193亿t·km,迄今已投资2.27亿美元。
The privatization of Mexico’s railways started in 1997. By the end of 1998, the privatization of the three major national railways and three short-lines had been completed. The total length of privatized railways reached 14,500 km. The remaining seven short-term lines will also be implemented in September 1999 Franchise bidding, if all goes well, the operational functions of the Mexican state-owned railways will all disappear by the end of 1999. The three major franchises are summarized as follows. Northeast Railway: In June 1997, franchising was implemented for 50 years. In 1998, it operated 4282.7km and completed a total volume of 19.3 billion tons. So far, it has invested 227 million U.S. dollars.
