Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture and moxibustion combined with quality nursing on the living ability and mental status of stroke patients. Methods Eighty-six stroke patients admitted from June 2015 to January 2017 were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 43 cases each. The control group received high-quality rehabilitation care; the observation group added acupuncture and moxibustion treatment on the basis of this, and both groups intervened for 4 months. Observed before and after treatment, two months, four months, two groups of motor function (Fugl-Meyer Assessment, FMA) after treatment, the Barthel index, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (National Institute of Health stroke scale, NIHSS) Score changes and satisfaction. Measurement data were compared between groups using t test, count data using χ ~ 2 test; P <0.05 for the difference was statistically significant. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups (all P> 0.05). After treatment, all indexes were gradually optimized with the extension of treatment time. After 4 months of treatment, observation score FMA group, the Barthel Index [(52.71 ± 6.79), (55.55 ± 5.12) min] were higher [(34.55 ± 7.08), (44.71 ± 4.53) min] (P < 0.05). The NIHSS score in the observation group (12.71 ± 3.95) was lower than that in the control group (17.57 ± 4.11) (P <0.05). The satisfaction rate of the observation group (95.35%) was higher than that of the control group (81.40%), the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture and moxibustion combined with high-quality rehabilitation nursing can help to improve patients’ limb motor function and nerve function, improve their living ability and improve patient satisfaction.
