Once thought: “Neutrophils release endogenous pyrogen, causing the body temperature to rise.” This view has been amended to read: “Neutrophilia is the result of endogenous pyrogen.” Endogenous pyrogen (EP) is IL1, but IL1 is not just an endogenous pyrogen. IL1 is short for Interleukin 1. Interleukin (tentatively translated as Interleukin) is a relatively new term, the discovery of matter, but can be traced back more than 30 years ago. In recent years, great progress has been made in this aspect of research, with hundreds of reports on the literature. The importance of IL1 is that it is one of the body’s forms during inflammation and infection
