张大千不仅是大画家、大书法家,而且是少有的美食家。早年他在国内时就以美食家而著称。出国后,无论住在美国还是定居台北,一日三餐的饮食极为讲究。家中宾客如云,很多是仰慕他家美食之盛名,前往一饱口福的。他在台北的家叫“大风堂”,因此,张大干的菜,也叫“大风堂菜”,只是不营业罢了。他晚年与张群、张学良等过往甚密,他们办了一个“转转会”,轮流做东,而以在“大风堂’就餐最多。
Zhang Daqian is not only a big painter, a big calligrapher, but also a rare gourmet. He was known as a gourmet in his early years in the country.
