随着撑竿跳技术的巨大改进,二十世纪八十年代的撑竿跳成绩已经显著提高了,从而可能谱写出现代化的新篇章。相对的低握竿和金属竿技术的应用,虽能提高撑竿跳成绩,但不能充分发挥玻璃纤维杆的弹射潜力。撑竿跳旧技术的趋势,是把身体停在撑竿的后面,起跳时再向后移一点离开由上手到地面所引的垂线。这样可能提高握竿点,但是要承受后移过分和肩部损伤的危险。进一步观察问题的实质,我们就能得出结论,撑竿跳技术相继的几个组成部分中,决定性的关键是起跳技术。
