I. Introduction This paper outlines the braking problems of high-speed passenger trains with a maximum speed of 200-300 km / h. High-speed transportation puts forward strict requirements on braking. The brakes must work effectively to absorb the accumulated heat without overheating and dissipate the heat to the environment. Braking distances must be kept within specified limits even in harsh climatic conditions. In order to meet operational requirements and ensure safety, shortening the braking distance is required. However, the deceleration is limited by the presence of sticking and the complexity of the braking device between the wheel and rail. Therefore, the signaling system and the vehicle’s brake must be matched.
