小龙潭煤矿地处滇南山区盆地之中,煤层厚、储量大,褐煤上部覆盖物为第四系表土和泥灰岩.布沼坝露天三期扩建规模240万t/a,剥离重心与排土场重心最大高差约600m,年剥离量为290万m~3左右.原使用的单斗电铲剥离——绞车提升——小火车运输的排弃方法已不能满足生产要求.担负工艺设计的沈阳院和云南院采用了中型斗轮机采掘、胶带输送机运输及排土机排弃的连续生产工艺.为这连续开采工艺服务的大型成套设备在国内是首次研制.这套大型设备按原机械部和煤炭部批准的“工业性试验大纲”
