新兴木刻运动是由鲁迅先生于20世纪30年代倡导的一场美术活动,构成了中国现代美术史的重要部分。这场运动以西方现代木刻为参照,以中国传统木刻为缘起,以表现劳苦大众生活境遇、救亡图存、反抗侵略的民族精神为内涵,产生了许多不同风格的作品,产生了深远的影响。这场运动也造就了一大批美术家,在融会中西,贯通古今,传承优秀文化方面,对引导振奋向上的社会精神生活作出了巨大贡献。同样具有深刻意义的是,这场美术运动,也体现了五四新文化
The emerging woodcut movement was a fine art event promoted by Mr. Lu Xun in the 1930s and formed an important part of the history of Chinese modern art. This movement, taking the western modern woodcut as a reference and originating from the traditional Chinese woodcut, has produced many works of different styles with far-reaching influences in order to show the living and working conditions of the masses, save the nation and resist the aggressive national spirit. This movement has also created a large number of artists. It has made great contributions to guiding the inspiring social and spiritual life in terms of integrating Chinese and Western cultures, linking ancient times with the present, and inheriting outstanding culture. Equally profound is that this art movement also embodies the May 4th new culture
