本文引入“想象史学”的概念,以《生活周刊》为例,考察1920年代至1930年代城市知识群体的生活想象与身份认同问题。这一时期,知识群体的生活想象主要集中在生活意义、生活趣味、职业生活以及闲暇娱乐四个方面。知识群体赋予“生活”超越当下的正面色彩寻求生活意义。他们将原本重复的、单调的、习以为常的日常生活精致化、陌生化与艺术化,获得生活趣味。知识群体从个体与社会的关系角度入手,倡导职业的真谛与乐趣所在,弥补职业生活单调、无聊的特点。他们将闲暇娱乐视作职业生活的调剂与补充,是恢复职业工作状态的手段。城市知识群体运用他们具有的文化资本,对生活赋予不同的意义与价值取向,同以享乐主义和消费主义为主导的市民阶层生活品味相区隔,既强化了他们对自身群体的身份认同感,也固化了不同阶层之间的分殊。
This article introduces the concept of “imagination history” and takes Life Week as an example to examine the life imagination and identity of urban knowledge groups from the 1920s to the 1930s. During this period, the imagination of life of knowledge groups mainly focused on four aspects: meaning of life, interest in life, occupation life and leisure entertainment. Knowledge groups give “life ” beyond the current positive color to seek the meaning of life. They refined the original repetitive, monotonous and accustomed daily life, unfamiliarized and artistic, and acquired the taste of life. Knowledge groups from the perspective of individual and social relations, to advocate the true meaning of the profession and fun where to make up for the monotonous, boring professional life characteristics. They regard leisure and entertainment as the adjustment and supplement of professional life, and they are the means of restoring the state of professional work. Using their own cultural capital, urban knowledge groups give different meaning and value orientation to life, and they are separated from life style of citizen-class dominated by hedonism and consumerism, which not only strengthens their sense of identity of their own groups, Also cured the distinction between different classes.
