In the book, “History of China, Wei, Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties”, the Alien Consciousness that external forces in turn influence China’s perspective on the history of this turbulent period emphasizes the influence of the Hu tribes on China and the “barbarians” in the South The formation of the nationality plays an important role in the process. The “Prairie Empire” is based on the migration of nomadic peoples on the Eurasian steppe. It connects the historical picture of the interaction between Christian civilization, Islamic civilization, Indian civilization and Chinese civilization. The authors of the two books are from Japan and France, all of them foreign historians, and are different from the traditions of Chinese people whose history centers around “Han Chinese” and “Han Dynasty”. Therefore, analyzing the characteristics of the two writings and comparing the similarities and differences between the East and West scholars has an important reference and thought-provoking.
