Synchrotron radiation X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy has unique advantages for the analysis of the crystal structure of micro-minerals and inclusions with its high energy microbeam. The BNL-NSLS-X17C test of the new mineral Robusha mine is taken as an example to illustrate its basic principle, characteristics and methods.
