Japan and Italy are both two economic powers in today’s capitalist world. They are located on the west coast of Asia Pacific and two on the Mediterranean coast of Europe. In the teaching of world geography, we have interestingly found that both Japan and Italy have their similarities in terms of geographical environment, natural resources and degree of economic development. First of all, in terms of geographical location and environment, the lands of most countries in the two countries are located between 35° and 45°N latitude and the coastline is winding. Japan is temperate monsoon and subtropical monsoon climate. Italy is controlled by the westerly zone and the subtropical high pressure zone. The climate is relatively mild and rainy. The only difference is that Italy is relatively dry in summer. From a geological point of view, Japan is at the junction of the Asia-Europe plate and the Pacific plate, while Italy is at the intersection of the Asia-Europe plate and the African plate. Both are in an extremely unstable area of the earth’s crust. There are frequent volcanoes and earthquakes and there are rich soil mountains. Vesuvius and a series of famous active volcanoes. As far as the terrain of both countries is concerned, it is also a narrow outline.
