社会公德是一个国家、民族文明程度的重要标志，也是我国道德建设的重要内容。但由于公德本身的特点和我国特殊的社会历史背景，我国的社会公德建设任务是非常艰巨的。针对这种状况，我们应从培养社会成员的公民意识出发，强调公民道德自律精神的建立，并把社会公德建设和社会主义民主与法制建设结合起来，创造一个有利于公德意识和行为养成的良好氛围。只有这样，才能最终提高我国公民的公德水平，才能使我国的公德建设符合社会主义市场经济发展的需要。
Social morality is an important symbol of the degree of civilization of a country and a nation and also an important part of our moral construction. However, due to the characteristics of the morality itself and the special social and historical background of our country, the task of building social morality in our country is very arduous.
