加班对一名新员工来说，也许司空见惯。但加班是不是一定就表示你工作勤奋？这可不见得。下面就来听听初入社会的Bonnie和她爸爸的对话，也许你能明白许多。
Bonnie: Hey Dad, I’m home!
George: Hi honey, how was work?
Bonnie: Ah, you know. Same old, same old.
George: What’s your beef this time?
Bonnie: Oh nothing new; ①it’s just this 1)OT thing is really getting under my skin.

George: You’re the only one working this much OT, right?
Bonnie: More or less.
George: Eventually someone is going to start wondering why you’re the only one.
Bonnie: Because they 4)dump all this stuff on me!
George: Sweetie, I know that and you know that, but someone is going to start asking whether you’re actually so efficient if you need all this OT to get the job done.
Bonnie: That’s so unfair!
George: ④I know it is, especially because you took to this job like a duck to water.
Bonnie: So what can I do?
George: For starters, stop turning a deaf ear to me and take my advice—go talk to them about your 5)workload.
Bonnie: I just hate being a trouble maker.
