西班牙塑料技术研究协会(Aimplas)已经完成了Innorcx的欧盟项目,研发出了一种不使用金属催化剂,而是使用其他可替代能源来制造聚乳酸(PLA)的新方法。研究结果是发现了一种改进版的PLA,其阻力比正常材料高出200%,将可能代替聚丙烯材料。主要的创新在于将挤出机作为反应器,从丙交酯通过反应性的挤塑进行开环聚合生产PLA。
Aimplas has completed Innorcx’s European Union project to develop a new method to make polylactic acid (PLA) using alternative sources of energy instead of metal catalysts. The result of the study was the discovery of an improved version of PLA with 200% more resistance than normal materials and likely to replace polypropylene. The main innovation is the use of extruders as reactors to produce PLA from ring-opening polymerization of lactide via reactive extrusion.
