The pathogenesis of hypertension has not yet been fully elucidated. Currently recognized sodium and hypertension are closely related to the occurrence. However, the impact of potassium on the incidence of hypertension is rarely noticed. Recent findings suggest that inadequate intake of potassium is one of the pathogenesis of hypertension, high potassium diet for the prevention and treatment of hypertension is of great significance.
