When I was a little baby， my father and mother would play rock music for me. Now I am older and when I ask them why， they tell me that rock and roll is their favorite music and that it’s one of the reasons why they love each other so much.
After listening to rock music for a long time， I have built up some knowledge about rock and roll and can pick out my favorite rock bands.
Aerosmith is an American rock band， sometimes called“the Bad Boys from Boston” and “America’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band”. Their style is hard rock with pop and blues. They were formed in Boston， Massachusetts in 1970.Joe Perry and Steven Tyler are the most important musicians for this band. If not for them， Aerosmith wouldn’t be so successful.Steven Tyler has a very special voice and Joe Perry plays the guitar in a way that nobody else can.
Marilyn Manson is also an American rock band. It was formed in 1989 in Fort Lauderdale， Florida. Many parents won’t let their kids listen to their music because the words in the songs are usually violent. My parents feel fine about me listening to Marilyn Manson， because they believe all music is worth a try. Their musical styles are hard rock， blues rock and arena rock.
Pink Floyd is an English rock band. It was founded in 1965 by students Syd Barrett， Nick Mason， Roger Waters， and Richard Wright in London. David Gilmour joined this band when Syd Barrett left. They are one of the most successful and influential groups in the history of popular music. My favorite songs are Time and Wish You Were Here.
