Audrey Hepburn was born on May 4th, 1929. Recognized with elegant[1] style and special tasting, Audrey Hepburn reset the beauty standard in Hollywood, her representative[2] films as Roman
Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and My Fair Lady still remain classics in many people’s eyes till today.
1929 年5月4日,奥黛丽·赫本诞生了。她以高雅的气质和独特的品味改写了好莱坞美的标准。她生前主演的多部电影例如《罗马假日》、《蒂凡尼早餐》和《窈窕淑女》等至今仍为无数人眼中的经典。
In her Childhood, Audrey Hepburn was a little fat, however she was very active, smart and lovely. Sometimes, she would just hide herself under the table, enjoying her favorite deserts. She had no idea why her parents were always quarreling and she did not care about it anyway. She loved dancing with her father. Being with him, she felt she was the happiest princess all over the world. However, no matter how this poor little princess expressed her love, her parents divorced and her father left them resolutely.
儿时的奥黛丽活泼、机灵、可爱,胖嘟嘟的她会偷偷地躲在桌子下吃甜食。她不明白父母为何总是争吵,她对此也不在乎。她喜欢爸爸陪她跳舞,和爸爸在一起时,她是最快乐的小公主。但是,不管这可怜的小公主怎样表达自己的爱,也没能留住和母亲离婚并毅然离去的爸爸。
In teenager period, Hepburn was rather pretty and innocent, brave meanwhile with intelligence. She was sent to learn her favorite dancing—Ballet by her mother and has made
up her mind to be an excellent dancer in future. However the war suddenly broke out, which forced her to come back to Holland.
少女时期的赫本清纯亮丽,聪明勇敢。她被妈妈送去学芭蕾——她最喜欢的舞种。她下定决心将来要成为一名出色的舞者。但是因为战争的爆发,她不得不回到荷兰。
After the war, Hepburn returned school to continue her studies, she desired to be an outstanding dancer, but was told by the teacher that her talence and figure are limited for her to be a chief ballet dancer. In deep sorrow, she started another career which paved the way for her later achievements[3]. At first, she tried all her best and played in various kinds of Musical
theater. Luckily, she was chosen to take part in Broadway’s drama performance and Roman Holiday. Those two performances brought her great fame, especially the latter one which helped her won the Oscar Award for best actress.

In her late years, Hepburn devoted[4] plenty of her time and energy into the charity careers.
In honor of her extraordinary[5] contribution to the poor children all over the world, the United
Nations Children’s Fund established a 7 foot bronze status known as the“Spirit of Audrey”. What’s more, on her 10th death anniversary[6], USPS (United States Postal Service) published Hepburn’s commemorative stamps.
赫本晚年在慈善事业中花费了大量的时间和精力。联合国儿童基金为了纪念奥黛丽·赫本为贫困孩子们所做的贡献,专门为她在纽约总部树立了一尊以她名字命名的七英尺高的青铜雕像—— “奥黛丽精神”。而在赫本去世10周年,美国邮政总署则发行了她的纪念邮票。
