瓠瓜瓠瓜又叫瓠子(见本期封面彩照),夜开花属葫芦科葫芦属一年生瓜菜。原产印度和非洲,性喜温暖湿润的气候条件,生长适宜温度20～25℃。我国南方普遍种植,北方较少栽培。瓠子肉质嫩柔做汤或炒食清香可口。瓠子瓜蔓生长快长势旺。主蔓8～12叶封顶,以侧蔓结瓜为主,侧蔓1～2叶就有雌花。长圆筒型瓠瓜品种,一般瓜长40～70厘
