每一部影片的导演,他们的精力往往多放在主要角色上(当然不是绝对的),对次要角色和群众演员的处理工作,常常是交给导演助理或副导演去完成。这样做,是不是说一部影片的完成,只有主要角色、主要演员才是重要的,群众角色和群众演员就不怎么重要呢?我看,并不能得出这样的结论。有句老话,“牡丹虽好,还得绿叶扶持”,一部影片中的主要角色和群众角色,他们的关系也好比花和叶,都一样的重要。不能设想,一部影片如果从头到尾只有几个主要角色在活动,没有前景和后景的群众演员来烘托陪衬,会是一种什么情景。一部影片中,群众演员选择得合适不合适,群众场面组织得好不好,对影片的艺术质量来说是极其重要的。要生动地塑造出影片中的群象,一定要有生活基础,不能凭空捏造。有了生活基础,组织拍摄的群众
