The smelting furnace heat balance test is a method to study the energy consumption of the smelting furnace, the energy level, the energy saving potential, and the energy saving effect. In order to “energy conservation and production increase” and formulate technological transformation measures centered on energy conservation for enterprises, a reliable scientific basis is proposed. We conducted a thermal measurement of a smelting furnace that was about to be overhauled and measured the thermal efficiency of the furnace to be over 40%. However, when the furnace was new, the thermal efficiency was only about 30%. For this purpose, we also checked and used the instrument used for the test.
