径向水平井是指曲率半径远比常规钻井曲率半径更短的一种水平井,也称之为“超短半径水平井”。目前国内外比较流行的径向水平井钻井技术为高压水射流超短半径水平井技术,主要是利用高压水射流能量,通过特殊的转向装置和高压喷管(嘴),沿目的层的径向方向上,钻出数个不同方位的辐射状水平井眼,然后进行有目的的完井。目前中原油田的薄油层、低渗透性油层、稠油油层气锥水锥严重,开采难度大,采收率低,如何解决这些问题已经成为当务之急。径向水平井可以在老井眼中,利用高压水射流在油层水平方向上辐射钻出一个或多个长30-100m的井眼,在井眼周围形成一个很大的泄油范围,可充分动用油层储量。目前该技术已经在中原油田实施6井次,并且取得了初步效果。
