随着国际互联网的普及和飞速发展，以充分利用网络资源、缩小时空地域限制为目的在互联网上进行并行分布式处理成为今后计算机技术发展的一个重要方向。继承和充分利用传统的应用软件非常重要，不可能也没有必要将所有的希望在网络环境下运行的传统软件用与平台无关的所谓“网络语言”重新编写，因此有必要进行在WEB或Intranet环境下激发应用程序机制的研究。该文介绍了作者在这方面的一些研究和实验情况，以引起同行的注意并起到抛砖引玉的作用。
