In February 1979, Silver Chun-ming, who returned from leaving the Soviet Union, founded an educational institution specializing in children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities-Changning District, Shanghai. At the beginning of the establishment of the school, the school has set a school-running ideology based on the development of mentally retarded children and strived to make every student learn the best and get the fullest development. After more than 30 years of practice exploration and experience summation, the idea of running a school-based life-style curriculum for “living, learning and living to adapt to life” has been formed, and a school-running model integrating education with training and rehabilitation has been established.
