1933年武派太极拳名师郝少如(注①)应常州国术馆长徐震(哲东)(注②)邀请专程由上海到常州教拳,我因身体较弱,欲强健体魄,就参加了学习。学员多是中年人,唯我年幼,仅13岁。可能是我与太极拳有缘份吧,我从学习的第一天起就热爱上了这一别有神韵的拳艺。当时武派太极拳96式详细图解说明还没有出台,教学完全赖身教言传,每个学员都获得油印《太极拳谱》一本,这本油印拳谱,便成我日后练习太极拳的珍宝,我一直随身携带,细心揣摩,终身受益。
