(The first issue of this issue is listed above) We have conducted a comparative analysis of the total economic output, industrial structure, economic benefits and primary industry in the three provinces. From the perspective of secondary industry, in the initial stage of reform and opening up, the secondary industry in Jiangsu was in a leading position , Shandong Habitat II, Guangdong Habitat III. However, this pattern has been gradually broken since 1991. In the recent two years, the development of Guangdong’s secondary industry accelerated noticeably and surpassed that of Jiangsu. In 1995, the added value of Guangdong’s secondary industry was 276 billion yuan, an increase of 19%, 1.4 percentage points higher than that of Jiangsu.
