Preface The minimum curve radius is one of the main technical standards for railway trunk lines. Its impact on construction costs has always been of concern to the railway engineering community. In order to find the minimum radius of the curve that is economically reasonable, the conclusion of the 1960s was that when the terrain conditions were constant, the radius was proportional to the volume and cost. This is of some significance under the prevailing conditions. But today, it is not enough to choose the radius of curve simply from the traffic volume. At the same time, through the investigation and study of thousands of kilometers of newly-built railway in mountainous area, it is necessary to prove that there is further research. In order to solve the influence of the minimum curve radius on the railway construction cost, this paper chooses a railway as the main analysis, expects to find a certain law and the actual economic comparison, and draws lessons from the future selection of the mountain railway technical standards.
