The German “Der Spiegel” magazine exclusively disclosed on February 24 that the German Federal Intelligence Service (BND) has been monitoring well-known media such as Reuters, the BBC and the New York Times since 1999. At least 50 of these media reporters use the Mobile phone, satellite phone, fax and e-mail and other means of communication. The news came out, the relevant media, industry organizations and some German parliament members expressed strong dissatisfaction.
