On September 2, 2006, the Singapore Biennale was held as part of the “Opportunities World Project” with the World Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group Meetings. Biennial exhibition hall located in 16 public places (such as parks, temples, etc.), in order to build a bridge between the public and art. The Singapore Biennale is Southeast Asia’s first biennial, with many artists from the region, but also artists from other parts of Asia, Latin America and even Europe and the United States. There are 95 participating artists, of whom 11 are local artists. The theme of this biennale is “Faith.” Planner Fumio Nanjo explains: "Today’s world is
