物质的化学变化,可以概括为两点:物质在起化学变化时的组成变化和伴随化学变化过程的能量变化。热化学是研究伴随化学变化(和物理变化)而发生热能变化的学科。热效应可以在量热器(卡计)中直接测定而求得,如生成热、分解热、中和热、燃烧热等。这些在物质起反应时所测得的热,总称为反应热,放出的热用加号,吸收的热用负号,在化学研究、设计、生产等方面有广泛的应用价值。
